Когда установка утилиты завершится, то сканер или многофункциональный аппарат покажется в Диспетчере задач Windows.

Описание

Утилита предоставляет полный доступ к функционалу сканеров от Canon. Устройства должны подключаться к ПК с помощью USB-кабеля. IJ Scan Utility умеет автоматически устанавливать драйвера. Единственное условие — версия программы должна быть новее подключаемого устройства.

Интерфейс программы выполнен в простом и доступном стиле. В верхней части окна находится выпадающий список с выбором принтера. По-умолчанию выбирается первое подключившееся устройство к компьютеру. Ниже находится меню с плиточными кнопками:

• Сохранение сканируемого документа в pdf-файл.
• Сохранение документа в виде изображения в формате jpg, png, gif и bmp.
• Пользовательские настройки с выбором формата получаемого файла, его положения и размера. Здесь также можно выбрать режим работы сканера: цветной или черно-белый.
• Установки разрыва, либо объединения сканируемых страниц.
• Поиск подключенных сканеров.
• Оптическое распознавание символов. Можно отсканировать текст и сохранить его в документ MS Word.
• E-mail. Отправка готового документа на электронную почту.

В зависимости от подключенной модели сканера, количество кнопок может отличаться. Например, функция OCR отсутствует на многих бюджетных устройствах.

В самом низу находятся еще 2 кнопки:

• Instructions. Подробное руководство по использованию программы на английском языке.
• Настройки утилиты.

При подключении устройства к компьютеру, программа автоматически выполнит диагностику. Если обнаружатся проблемы с программной или аппаратной частью сканера, утилита сразу же покажет предупреждение пользователю. Сканированные изображения можно редактировать, поворачивать, обрезать, изменять масштаб и накладывать эффекты.

Steps to download the IJ Scan Utility

Go to the Canon Support page to follow these steps.

Enter your scanner model in the Enter a model text box. Select your model from the dropdown list, then select Go.

Under Drivers & Downloads, make sure that the correct operating system is selected in the dropdown.
In Drivers tab, find the MP Drivers for your device, and select the Select button on the right.
Note: The IJ Scan Utility is included in the MP Drivers package.
Select the Download button to save the file to your computer.
Once the download is complete, double-click the downloaded file to begin the installation.
Follow the prompts during installation until complete.

Launch the IJ Scan Utility
To run, select IJ Scan Utility in the appropriate location.

Windows 10: From the Start menu, select All Apps > Canon Utilities > IJ Scan Utility. If you do not see this, type IJ Scan Utility in the search bar.

Windows 8: Select IJ Scan Utility on the Start screen. (If IJ Scan Utility is not displayed on the Start screen, select the Search charm, then search for “IJ Scan Utility”.)

Windows 7/Windows Vista/Windows XP: From the Start menu, select All Programs > Canon Utilities > IJ Scan Utility > IJ Scan Utility to start IJ Scan Utility.
